Is there an outstanding preservation success story that has caught your attention in the past year? Or perhaps you’ve been involved with the rehabilitation of an older building for a new use while preserving its architectural character? The Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation is now accepting nominations for its 2017 Preservation Awards program, and we want to showcase those blood, sweat and tears projects that help celebrate Athens’ unique heritage. Nomination categories include rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, new construction, innovative solutions in preservation, and more.
Nominations are due Friday, April 7th and award-winning projects will be presented at the 48th Annual Preservation Awards ceremony on Monday, May 22nd at the historic Morton Theatre. Eligible projects are those that have been completed between June 2016 – June 2017, or, in the case of multi-year building projects, will be completed by June 1, 2017.
